Vision Statement

History is only boring if the teacher fails to actively engage the

students. As a history teacher, I will engage my students by
exploring with technology, having students work together in
groups, doing physical activities within the lessons, examine
primary source documents and challenge the students to walk
away each day with new knowledge.

I believe
Students today need some excitement and engagement in the classroom to
make learning a positive experience.
I will make history relevant to them so they will understand how and why
history is important.
I will encourage all of my students to learn and explore their history.
By the end of the year, students will leave this class with the ability to write
an essay at the college level using the skills they learned in class.
