When I was trying to decide what company I should chose for my mock interview I almost made the
wrong decision. I was about to settle with Prudential. Not that this company is bad by any means, but to be
honest, insurance really doesnt excite me. Public relations is something that does. I decided to choose your
company, Powers of Communication Inc. because it deals with this very subject. Diving deeper into your
companys portfolio and services assures me I made the correct decision.
Communication has always been something that interested me, the number one choice when I
started college. While at the University of Dubuque I had the opportunity to find an aspect of communication I
truly enjoyed and performed well at, Public Relations. This area of the Communication world incorporate so
many aspects that intrigue me, social media, event planning, fundraisers, media and corporate
communication to name a few. Finding the appropriate medium to reach an audience is something that truly
intrigues me.
Your company excels at so many aspects of my career that I would love to explore. Connecting with
people is such an open field, it requires someone who can adapt and adjust to the different mediums that are
available. The skills I have learned while studying at the University of Dubuque align well with the job
opportunity you are offering. Social Media and Corporate Communication are two skills that I consider my
strongest.
