Dear Careers Manager:
Hi, I am Jack Vonderwerth and I am interested in a dynamometer Internship at your company. Im really interested in this
because Ive always had a passion for engines. I have a wide range of experience and education I can offer your company
even being an intern, from my current degree in Automotive Engineering Technology to previous experience working on
various vehicles and engines.
I will be graduating in May 2016 with a bachelors degree in Automotive Engineering Technology from Ferris State
University. Even though I havent completed my degree yet I have learned so much about vehicles and how they operate.
My time working as a technician for BFD Power for the past 4 years has allowed me to gain experience with a large variety
of vehicles and equipment. Part of my job while I was there was to go out and fix breakdowns on the road quickly and
efficiently. This forced me to think on my feet while I was out on the job which in turn helps you should a problem arise.
Being part of the workforce with BFD Power has definitely broadened my skills not only as being a part of a team, but also
when working independently out in the field. When out on the job I would have to communicate with drivers of the vehicles
to determine what was wrong or might be going wrong with their vehicles. Ive learned that every one of the drivers has a
different way of describing the symptoms of what their vehicle is doing. BFD Power has 30+ trucks and thats a
combination of communicating in person, on the phone, and via text to figure out which vehicles need what. Its safe to say
that I do have some strong communications skills that will be put to good use at your company.
Thank you for considering me as a candidate for the position and Id love to schedule an Interview to kick start the process
of becoming a part of your workforce. I am available between the hours of 2:30pm and 5pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday,
and also available from 9:00pm to 11:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can feel free to call my cell phone at (231) 758
0070 or email me anytime at vonderj@ferris.edu.

Sincerely,

Jack Vonderwerth
