Provide a summary description of the student teachers performance related to the INTASC Standards: Learners & Learning (Learner
Development, Learning Differences, Learning Environments); Content (Knowledge & Application); Instructional Practice (Assessment, Planning,
Instructional Strategies); and Professional Responsibility (Professional Learning, Ethical Practice, Leadership & Collaboration).

In the areas of Learners and Learning, Ms. Schwarzkopf shows a wonderful ability to recognize the
variety of behavioral and academic differences each student possesses. She has designed and implemented
many interesting lessons to support and motivate these learner needs throughout all curricular areas. She
continues to challenge the students with high expectations while recognizing the unique cultures our students
represent and the different demands associated with planning for such a diverse group. Throughout all lesson
delivery, Ms. Schwarzkopf remained a calm and confident leader, earning the trust and respect of her students.
In the area of Content Knowledge and Application, Ms. Schwarzkopf has gained a vast understanding of
our state and district curriculum requirements. She has successfully adapted these standards, within the context
of required materials, into meaningful and engaging lessons. Through the modeling of critical thinking tools,
Ms. Schwarzkopf has successfully helped students gain the ability to transfer learned information and skills into
quality reflection and discussion. These lessons contributed to a greater understanding of Common Core
expectations shown in recent assessment data.
Ms. Schwarzkopf has continued to understand the needs of each individual learner by monitoring
progress and adjusting lesson plans to accommodate a variety of learning needs (including many students with
documented learning disabilities) within our class. She is fluent in a variety of assessment types, including
technology based and state mandated tests. By developing leveled group appropriate activities based on testing
data, Ms. Schwarzkopf was able to facilitate a connection between necessary content and level specific
strategies during interventions.
Finally, during this Student Teaching experience, Ms. Schwarzkopf has shown an incredible ability to be
flexible as she encounters new areas of growth. She remainsconfident and level headed when experiencing the
quick changes of focus that can occur during the school day, particularly with student issues and building wide
adjustments. She has successfully conferenced with many parents, teachers, and extended staff to explore areas
of assistance and support that can be given to students. She has truly become a valuable member of our school
