Level 1
Matching pictures and objects (Need: object pictures & objects)
Place objects on pictures.
a. Line up 7 pictures in random order on table
b. Hand each object to client to place on picture
c. Need a score of 6.5 to move on

a. Line up 7 objects in random order on table
b. Hand each picture to the client to place on object

Point to objects
a. Rearrange objects on table
b. Hold up each picture (one at a time)
c. Client points to object of picture

Action picture demonstration (action pictures & objects) - client watches ONLY
a. Place action picture to clients left
b. Pick up corresponding object and demonstrate its use
c. Do this for each object & move on
Follow action picture commands (action pictures & objects)
a. Line up all 7 objects on table
b. Hold up an action picture
c. Client has to select the correct item AND manipulate it correctly
d. Need a score of 6.5 to move on
Pantomimed gesture demonstration (objects only) - client watches ONLY
a. Place an object on the table in front of client
b. Produce gesture that represents object
c. Do this for each object (SLOWLY) & and move on
Pantomimed gesture recognition (objects only)
a. Line up all 7 objects in random order on table
b. Produce a gesture
c. Client must point to/locate the corresponding object
d. Need a score of 6.5 to move on
Pantomimed gesture production
a. Hold up each object (one at a time)
b. Encourage client to produce representational gesture without touching the object
c. Need a score of 6.5 to move on

8) Representation of hidden objects demonstration (objects & box) - client watches ONLY
a. Place 2 objects on table - while gesturing for each
b. Then hide them both under a box
c. Take one away (show which one you take away)
d. Produce the other (still hidden) objects gesture
e. Do this for each object & move on
9) Production of gesture for hidden object (objects & box)
a. Place 2 objects on table - while gesturing for each
b. Then hide them both under a box
c. Take one away (show which one you take away)
d. The client should produce the gesture for the object thats still hidden
e. Need a score of 6.5 to move on

Level 2
Repeat steps 5 - 9
No real objects are used
Action pictures are substituted for objects (used in level 1)
Only steps 6,7, & 9 are scorable
Level 3

Repeat steps 5 - 9
No real objects or action pictures are used
Pictures of objects are substituted for action pictures (used in level 2)
Only steps 6,7, & 9 are scorable
