Preamble Essay
Imagine if the Preamble wasnt contrived. The preamble accouterments the U.S.
in many ways such as after September 11, 2001 assailment on the twin towers in New
York the government forced U.S. airports it improve their security because in the
preamble it states ...provide for the common defence... and this means they have to
protect the U.S. from any attacks. In the 1700s our founding fathers were brought a
problem of an undeveloped and struggling nation, they had to come up with a way to
have rules for our Country so during the summer of 1787 they made-up and signed the
constitution.
Overall purpose of the preamble
The Preamble benefits the U.S. because it states everything we need to have to
become a pleasing government and country. One thing the preamble states is that
everyone is equal. This means that everyone has to follow the same laws including the
president. As I have said before the preamble states that the U.S. government has to
protect our country from any intrusions. That means that the government has to provide
America with a good working army and navy. The American government has to assure
us that we have peace in our country. The preamble was made to make sure that we
are protected, have secured freedoms, and to established justice.
Meaning of the preamble

Although it states We the people of the United States in the preamble it means
the people of the united states including ourselves. The preamble states in order to
form a more perfect union this means that to make our union more perfect we have to
do something. When the preamble states "establish justice" it means that everyone has
to follow the same laws including policemen and the president. The next statement is
"insure domestic tranquility" and this means that the government owes a duty to the
American citizens to maintain a running country and peace within the country. Provide
for the common defense means that the U.S. government has to protect the American
citizens. In the preamble it states "promote the general warfare" which means the
government has to maintain a good running army and navy. Secure the blessings of
liberty to ourselves and our posterity means that the government has to secure every
freedom us as American citizens have. The last statement the preamble has is "do
ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America" this means that
America has to keep the preamble forever and obey its rules.
The enduring impact the preamble has on America today
The preamble has many different impacts on America. One impact is how the
government made airports advance their security after the 9/11 attack. This is an action of
"provide for the common defence" meaning the government had to protect America from any
more terrorists attacks. Airports advanced their security by setting limits on how much liquids
and printer cartridges you can bring on the plane. Airports also upgraded their screening by
checking 100% of your luggage and having you take your shoes off before you go through the
screen machine. Airports have even created watchlists so they won't let certain people on
planes or even in the airports. To get onto the watch list you have to be incorporated with a

terrorist group. In 2011 there were about 10,000 names on the list and in 2012 the list more than
doubled in size containing about 21,000 names on the list. This was an action of provide for the
common defence by the government to protect us from further terrorist attacks.
The government brought justice to the terrorists of 9/11. This would be "insure domestic
tranquility" because the government has to keep peace within the country. The government
traced down the terrorists family and friends to make sure there is no traces of terrorism in the
friends or family. 9/11 was a huge deal to the citizen of America at that time, even people that
lives on the whole other side of the country were scared bc they couldn't believe that that was
actually happening.
The government had to help the victims families in someway so they decided to create a
fundraiser called Victims Compensation Fund. This was originally made in 2001 and closed in
2004 but is now reopened in 2011 by Obama. This was an act of insure domestic tranquility
because there has to be peace within our country so the families might gang up and either
attack the government or attack the families of the terrorists and therefore there wouldnt be
peace within the country. The Victim Compensation Fund was created for people that were
either lost or injured in the 9/11 attack. There were many firefighter and policeman that lost their
lives trying to save other people lives. When the policemen, firemen, and paramedics saved
peoples lives from the 9/11 attack they were known as heros to those people and those peoples
families. The act these policemen, firemen, and paramedics did would be provide for the
common defence because they protected and save peoples lives.
Conclusion

In the 1700s our founding fathers were brought a problem of an

undeveloped and struggling nation, they had to come up with a way to have rules for
our Country so the summer of 1787 they made-up and signed the constitution. The

government follows the preamble in many ways such as helping the victims of 9/11,
how the government made airports advance their security, and how they brought justice
to the bombers of 9/11. This is why we need the preamble and why it is so important to
the lives of the American citizens.
