Pedestrian Safety

Accidents and fatalities associated with pedestrians and bicyclists had been severe
problems around the world. Today, some innovative technologies are developed to
reduce and mitigate those pedestrian and bicycle accidents employing sensors,
communication and their fusion technologies. This call for paper is intended to
collect research works of various ITS technologies/applications and policies for
pedestrian safety. Papers on field operational test as well as scientific papers are
encouraged to submit for this special issue.
Authors are invited to submit papers, which are not under review in other
conferences or journals. The suggested topics are the concept idea, state of the art,
protocol, algorithm, implementation and service model in the following, but not
limited to:
