It is my pleasure and privilege to be a teacher of the applicant, Mr.Anand
Swaminathan during his four years of Under- Graduation. I offered five, viz. courses FPE
102 Fat and Oil technology, APE 241 Crop Process Engineering, FPE 203 Dairy
Engineering, FPE 301 Meat and Poultry Technology, and the Packaging Technology part
of FPE 352 Commercial Food Engineering courses for him.
At the Under-Graduation level, the applicant showed a deep understanding of
basics with flair towards advancements in the field of study. His commitment in
attending classes, seminars and other technical sessions deserves mention. I found him
diligent and sedulous during the practical classes.
Anands interest and commitment to pursue higher studies abroad and his struggle
to get over the odds in achieving this is obvious by way of his GRE score.
Apart from serving as the class representative during his first year of graduation,
he showed his multifarious talents in sports, culturals and NCC. He is a trained computer
personnel with a good academic record.
I certainly categorize him among the top 5% of the students I have come across in
my career. Given an opportunity to pursue the higher studies, I am sure, he will be an
asset to the host institution. I strongly recommend his candidature for Graduate Studies
