It is with immense interest that I am applying for the position in your district. I am currently
working on an Associates Degree in Applied Arts at the College of DuPage. After receiving this
degree I plan on furthering my education at a four-year university to receive my Bachelors
Degree in Biology with a Minor in Education. With 5 years experience working with children, I
am confident that I possess the qualifications your district needs to promote its philosophy and
goals. I am very eager and prepared to provide my knowledge and leadership skills to your
school to boost the learning experience for each and every student.
As the attached resume will feature, I am currently a hostess at D.O.C Wine Bar located in
Lombard, Illinois as well as a tutor for two young boys in Woodridge, Illinois. My position as a
hostess includes working in a fast paced environment as well as communicating with costumers
and coworkers; as a tutor I mentor and deliver instruction in reading, writing, and math skills two
young boys. I truly possess the skills essential for instructional leadership in your school. I
recently became am an active participant in the classroom at River Trails Middle School located
in Mount Prospect, Illinois while completing 15 hours of observation and I also plan to continue
volunteering at this establishment as well. I also volunteer regularly for the Glenbard East High
School Varsity Cheer team. These roles collectively have enabled me to develop strong
communication, intrapersonal, organizational and leadership skills, which will allow me to
cultivate a supportive learning environment.
My strengths include mentoring, technology, and analyzing data. I am proficient at cultivating
strong working relationships. I consistently work above and beyond to provide a thriving work
environment for coworkers in addition to a welcoming environment for costumers.
I desire to construct an encouraging school environment and educational program favorable to
student learning as well as foster proficient growth and development as a school. I truly believe
that all students can learn when placed in an optimistic and promising learning environment that
encourages discovery and promotes confidence.
