n.p., n.d.Print.
<http://www.harpweek.com/09Cartoon/BrowseByDateCartoon.asp?Month=November&Date=2>

Placing this cartoon in the first page of New York Times with big and bold title saying: Held up
the Wrong Man gives a real effective explanation of peoples point of view about Theodores
actions. Artist Rogers drew this cartoon of Theodore Roosevelt, who has a bag saying Millions
for Panama, but not paying the money asked by Colombia, and demanding harshly, to handover
Panama in which Colombia doesnt seem to be strong. In the background, Uncle Sam is
represented with a shovel, calling Theodore to start the construction. But in the other side, the
topic of this cartoon is Held up the Wrong Man which shows that people of America, doesnt
like what Theodore Roosevelt is doing and thought that he is acting like a pirate to the
neighboring countries. After analyzing this cartoon, I am able to conclude both perspectives.
