Gay Marriage
I have decided to write about gay marriage I am going to do the for and the
against gay marriage and then at the end I will give you my opinion on the matter.
First I will start with the people that are against gay marriage.

People that are against gay marriage say in one article that it is not real
marriage because it is not between a man and women. They also say that it always
denies a child of a father or a mother.(10 arguments against it sex marriage.

In anther article that I looked at, says, Children need fathers in the same
article it also says, Children need mothers also It also states, that if a man is gay
they are more likely to cheat on their significant other. They are more likely not
going to work as hard as a straight man. They are more likely to drink and not be as
religious as a straight man would be. In anther article, it says gay marriage decays
families. It will lead to a growth of polygamy... states will not protect marriage.
Children will be taught sex Ed. In turn having to explain the gay lifestyle (Ten

In the same article, it talks about the culture would become anti Christian.
In addition, children will be placed in gay households and they are afraid this
would teach the children to be gay. They also argue that if gay marriage was too
being legalized here in the United States that it will spread quickly to other
countries. People and companies that are against gay marriage quote the bible and
say that it is against gods will and it is not what god wants he wants an Adam and
Eve not Adam and Steve. In addition, if you believe in gay marriage you will go to
hell and god will punish you for going against his commands. The same people also
say that the health insurance and taxes will go up and the economy will fall and

Now we will look at the side of pro gay marriage.

There is an article that I thought was a good starting point for this part of
the paper. It is called 10 reasons gay marriage is inevitable.
One of the reasons it is inevitable is because it has a lot of public and
political support. It also says by people saying that gay marriage is unconstitutional
is anther big reason that it is inevitable of becoming legalized. People also want
equality for every one. It will give children a loving home and a loving family. An
article says that there are seven ways legalizing gay marriage will help the United
States. It will promote equality and non-discrimination in society and the work

place it provides economic and business opportunities. It strengthens national

identity and international reputation. (ProCon.org)

In anther article that I read it says in an article that people are scared to let
gays and lesbians adopt children because they will be sexually assaulted by there
same sex parents, the article that I read says that children are more likely to be
sexually assaulted and abused by a straight parent more times then they where if
they had a some couple parents. It also says by legalizing gay marriage it will boost
the economy and provide more jobs for people. (10 reasons gay marriage is

Legalizing gay marriage would give the families and the significant others
the same rights that straight couples have. Like medical decision. Being able to see
their significant others in the hospitals. Being able to put them on their insurance
things like that.
Now I will give you my opinion on the subject and what I have heard other
people say about the topic.
I think that we should, legalize gay marriage nation wide. My thoughts are
people should be able to choose who they want to be with. I think as long as they
are happy with that person what right do we have to say it is wrong to love
someone of the same sex instead of the opposite sex.
I have know a lot of gay people in my life and so I have kind of grown up being
around gay people and I have never seen them sexually assault a child or hit a child

before. Other people such as my father think that if we legalizes gay marriage that our
insurance rates will go up because there will be an epidemic of fag diseases. He also
believes that god is against gay marriage and that me and my sisters supporting gay
marriage we are going to go to hell. I believe that god love all of his children and no
matter what you do or how you live your life as long as you dont do anything bad
you will go to heaven. There is also a church in Kansa that they think the reason all of
the solders are dying is that that is gods way of punishing us for letting gay people
walk the earth. Therefore, they go to funerals of dead solders, protest them, and tell the
families that their son or daughter died because we as a society accept gay marriage.
When facts do not matter: same sex marriage is not hurting anyone so why is so many
people still afraid of it. We need to acknowledge the fact gay marriage is going to
become legal throughout the United States. It is slowly gaining speed to full
legalization the more states it becomes legal the less fight there is to fight. All I see is
people who love each other and want to be a legal couple and have children just like
us straight people do they have that right.
