Is There Something More?
Since the day I was able to understand concepts of religion Ive been taught that there is
only one God. It is not as though it was shoved down the throats of my siblings and me. In my
home as a child there was room to believe anything other than Christianity. We all consciously
abided by my parents will and chose to believe in Christianity. Without a shadow of a doubt Ive
poured all my faith into the belief in God. But, what if there is more than just Christianity? What
if what Ive been taught my whole life is not actually the truth? What if I am wrong?
One of the biggest flaws in Christianity is seeing is not believing. According to the bible
God is always with you. Literally, however, that is not the case. I cannot see God with me all the
times like is claimed. Therefore how can I believe such a thing is true? Christianity relies very
heavily on faith. Faith that this supernatural being is actually real and has talked to people and
thats how the bible became what it is now. On the other hand there are also instances and
examples that prove it (Christianity) wrong. This is the reason faith plays such a strong role in
anything you believe in. Perfect example of showing how faith is a big factor in Christianity. If
no one has seen God, how can I be so sure that he is real? There is no literal proof of God being
here. As much as it seems there is more proof pointing against God being real because no one
has actually ever seen God and historically record it with enough data to back it up to be true.
People have claimed to have been to heaven and back in mythical and mysterious ways but there

is no way to prove that any of those occurrences are true. That being said, most have not even
said anything about seeing God in the first place.
Christianity is also very heavily biased. Arguments with a Christian is almost pointless
because they will not change their mind on their stance. They are a very intolerant and
hypocritical group of believers. Christians will go out and teach others how to act, but then in
return will turn around and do exactly what they preached against. When it comes to an
argument about God and the creation of earth, or asking how they know there is a God all comes
back to faith. Its always the cop out for a Christian when you have them cornered. Another
well-known bias is how Christians will always point out Gods works when it is something good.
On the other hand when there is some sort of tragic event you wont catch them saying thats an
act of God. However, anyone with moral reasoning would also suggest against doing that as
well. This does end up leading to the conclusion of God has a reason for everything. No matter
what. Which leads to a lot of Christians not even giving the reason, going back to the faith
issue. Concrete evidence is what I need to believe in anything I see. There is not a lot of it that
backs up the Christian faith.
I believe in Christianity because it is what I have chosen to put my faith in. If what I
believe in is false the consequences that follow would be substantial. Determining no heaven nor
hell leaving myself lost as to what will happen after I die. Not only that but what of the creation
of the world as well. As stated before, I am a Christian, therefore I have faith that what I believe
in is true to the fullest degree. I cannot be wrong.
There are plenty of flaws in each religion. When it comes to more than what meets the
eye is really when things are turned awry. I have grown to where I am now with already having
gone back to think on these things that Ive argued my own faith with and I still stand strong in

my faith. The basis of religion is how strong ones faith is. Ill never be able to answer certain
questions asked with anything other than because I believe.
