What: Grade 2 Student Led Conference

When: Wednesday, November 19th starting at 3:30 pm
Where: Your childs classroom
How long: Approximately 20 minutes
Who: You and your child ~ your child must attend to show you their work
Student Led Conferencing is a great opportunity to see what your child is doing in
school by watching them perform a series of activities based on topics they have been
studying in school. By seeing your child work through the activities, it helps to develop
a greater awareness for you of how your child is doing with the learner expectations
at your childs grade level. This should help to answer any questions you may have when
you take the report card home with you after the student led conference.
We will be in the classroom throughout the time you spend with your child and will be
available to answer any questions or concerns you may have during this time. Our
student teacher, Miss Donahue-Reid, will also be joining us in an observational role.
Please know that other parents and children could be in the classroom, depending on
the rate each family moves through the activities.
Each family will start the activities as soon as they arrive and circulate through the
activities.
Please indicate on the form below what time would be most convenient for your family
and return it by November 12th. We will schedule each family a 15 minute time slot
during the preferred range of time indicated, and confirm this time with you through
your childs agenda. Times are on a first come/first serve basis.
