How would you feel if your

child was suffering from
hunger? Everyday they
went to class, they could
not concentrate because
your child is focused on
eating lunch instead of the class.
You would think that as the United
States advances, the economy would
be better & families would not be
poor. Unfortunately, that is not the
case and children must suffer from
it. Children are the future of our
country, if children are suffering from
hunger, they are not able to become
as successful as we would want them
to because they are not getting the
essential nutrients.

Kids who are not successful cannot

go onto college and get a higher education and cannot attain a degree.
The government attempts to aid
these children and their families by
providing programs such as Free &
Reduced Fee lunches as well as
Food stamps. (Continues Next Pg)

In past researches conducted
by multiple scientists, they
concluded that children who
do not eat enough nutrients
that they are more susceptible to receiving an illness
such as a cold (K Alaimo,
2001). Also that kids who do
not gain the correct and
enough nutrients, they will
more than likely get an overall
health rating of fair/poor rather than a excellent/good
rating. (No kid hungry, 2013).
Kids cannot become successful if they are always ill and
failing classes because of the

hunger they are suffering

from. As stated in the picture below with the statistic
that 1 out of 5 American
children suffer from childhood hunger, 16 million
futures that will be affected
that and from the weak
immune system, some of
those children will not
make it to the age of 18.
One of those lives could
have affected the world
and changed it and made
an impact. But in order for
those children to make an
impact on our country

and this world, we must first

help them by impacting their
lives and helping them gain
better nutrients from meals. I
personally support the methods that multiple organizations are using to aid hungry
children and their families.
Many are aiding them by
showing them cheap healthy
meals that gives them all the
nutrients a child needs. No
child should have to suffer
from poverty and worry if
they will walk to their home
with a table that has their
food

Waiting for them when

they arrive from school or
practice from a school
sport. I believe the methods the government is
using to aide these children and families are
very effective, however,
not advertised enough.
Many families do not
know of the reduced fee
& free lunch that public
lunches during the
school year as well as the
ones offered over summer. These children need
to live an overrated childhood.
