PLO 3: Apply effective guidance and interaction strategies that support all childrens social learning,

Guidance Scenarios (CHDV110)
o We will be able to understand what the child needs to boost there identity.
o We will be able to understand how to show effective guidance that is positive and reassuring.
o We will be able to understand what the importance is of allowing the child to be guided to their
independence.

o How to identitfy a teachers intentions and what they are trying to show you in the starting steps
of understanding.
o How to create a support system by using short answers and photos.

o How to identify the trigger of a guidance scenario.
o To be able to guide the child in a better way that will cause no harm of personal hurt.
o Be able to create a sense of trust by letting them have their independence and create a sense of
social belonging.
o Help have a sense of indepence, and self confidence without have to reassure them.

o How to help when there is support needed for the children.
o Create a relationship by understand one another.

**Beliefs: How has completing the above assignments and your student teaching influenced your beliefs about
what constitutes appropriate guidance strategies and promoting the positive social emotional growth of
children?
o These artifacts really got me to let the children be more independent, I always found my self-kind of
babying some of the kids but when I realized they could do it themselves I encouraged them to create
social relationships and do things on their own.

**Future Growth & Next Steps: Think about your future teaching, list three goals to help you improve
upon your existing knowledge and skills and your teaching.
Identify how you will achieve each of these three goals. Be specific. For instance, will you enroll in a
course? If so, what course? Will you read a book? What book?

I want to stop being so overly watchful of the kids, even though they need to be watched constantly I need to
pull myself away from hovering over them. I will do this but trying to pull myself out of the sandbox or away
from the sing if I am not playing with the children outside.
I will guide more, than takes over. I will do this by having both the children talk to each other and not to me.
Have them solve their own problems with some guidance. I will do this by having both people tell each other
how they felt and what hurt them.
