Nite Ize Inova Microlight

Nikon D80 DSLR with 18-135mm lens

Purpose
To display our current accomplished work and remaining tasks to our supervisors.

Summary
After being approved to write guides for the Nite Ize Inova Microlight on September 24,
2014, we have been able to complete two milestones since then. These milestones included:
completing a device page and a troubleshooting page. The remaining tasks that we have yet to
complete are: editing pictures, writing guides, and publishing the guide. So far our deadlines
have been met and we do not feel the need for any extensions.

Completed iFixit tasks

Proposal
After presenting our proposal to the iFixit staff on 19th of September, we have received
an approval on the 24th of September this year. Even though the approval was delayed, it did not
affect our schedule.

Troubleshoot
The first milestone, a troubleshoot page, was completed on the September 30th 2014. The
iFixit staff replied to our submission with a suggestion that we add a short narrative to certain
sections of the troubleshooting page.

Device Page
The second milestone required that we share information about the Nite Ize Inova
Microlight onto our device page. On October 2nd 2014 we notified the iFixit staff that the page
has been completed. On the same day they asked us to post a cover picture to profile the device
and on October 8th 2014 we have done so.

Media
Pictures were taken of the device for use on the device page and guides on October 2nd
2014.

Problems Encountered
The microlight, being small in nature, did not propose many solutions that we could work
with. After solving that problem, we came upon issues with proper lighting when taking pictures.
This came about because we did not have all the necessary equipment for the task.

Current Work
For the week of October 2, 2014, Googli will be shooting photographs in the studio and
finalize editing before moving onto guide writing.

Remaining Work
The guides for bulb replacement, battery replacement, and case replacement are need to
be prepped for writing. The pictures that we have taken so far require editing so that the files can
fit the required resolutions. After completing our guides, our peers and the iFixit staff will review
the work and advise us on revisions that they feel necessary.
