Five Minute Outline

When answering a Long Essay- (fka FRQ)- you should construct an outline that
focuses on the question and includes information that supports your position.
Procedure:
1. Read the prompt and underline key terms
2. Brainstorm / categorize information given in the prompt
3. Write an introductory paragraph which includes
--a 2 sentence introduction that sets up the thesis statement
--write a thesis statement which rephrases the question and includes an
action
verb, indicating the direction the essay will take.

Prompt:
Compare the ways in which TWO of the following reflected tensions in colonial
society.
Bacons Rebellion- 1676
1739

Pueblo Revolt- 1680 Salem Witchcraft Trials- 1692

The Pueblo revolt and Salem Witch trials may seem like total opposite
topics and you are correct but they are similar on many levels.the pueblo
revolt was caused by Spanish trying to convert the Indians and the Indians
refusing, the Salem trials was kind of the same threat but with evil and
immortal beings; how the Indians fought back so did the colonists by
killing everyone who was flagged a "witch"; and the pueblo Indians gains

support other their rebellion from other tribes the Puritans got support
from other towns and religions.
