29/08/13 Dear Sirs RE: First Bus / bus campaign | would like to express my dissatisfaction with a number of routes on the First services and | feel there are a number of improvements and amendments that could be made. Firstly, the X39 from Stirling to Glasgow is a dependable service on the whole, however, it's extremely cumbersome and could it not be amended to an ‘express from Cumbernauld to Glasgow as the X3 and X5 seem to duplicate the route in places. This would shorten the journey making it more pleasurable, convenient and comfortable, Secondly, | fail to understand how the X38 / 38 from Stirling to Edinburgh can be considered an ‘express’ bus (this was quoted on an email to me from First) as it takes about 2 hours to get to Edinburgh and seems to visit every town on the route thus making it another laborious journey, often forcing commuters onto trains instead, who provide a more efficient service during rush hour. Finally, | would like to comment about the frustratingly insufficient provision for passengers who now have no regular bus from Denny to Larbert (hospital) since the H3 and H4 routes were cut due to funding. | thought First would have a replacement but unfortunately, there isn’t anything suitable for train users from Larbert - :e. it either doesn't run or doesn't connect with Scotrail commuter services (at 07:23, 07:40 and 18:00). Route 19 doesn't run early enough, route 902 runs in the opposite director to what passengers need (i.e. Denny to Larbert in the morning and return in the evening) and numbers 6/7 has no service from Larbert to Denny after 17:30, | am so glad that someone is finally calling for change to these inadequate routes and | do hope the work that lain Gray carries out, will be heard and acted upon. Furthermore, | hope the local councils will isten to the passengers and put in place the provision that we need. A few newer, more comfortable buses would also be very much appreciated - the rickety, ancient vehicles on the X39 hardly appear roadworthy. | look forward to hearing the latest on this issue and pray itis in the local people's best interest. Yours faithfully Mrs © Hayward
