EVIDENCE: (two)
1. LP# 2 (11/25/14) Objectives were stated and teacher planned to address the
components to the objectives during the informing section. Teacher presented
questions for the students about the objective during closure.
2. Videotape Reflection (11/26/14) During teaching, I reminded students of the five
components of health related fitness and asked them what muscle groups they
were using during specific exercises.

DISCUSSION: (justify how each piece of evidence supported the standard)


1. Questions were presented the allowed students to think about what actions they
were performing and relate it to the five components of health related fitness, as
well as the muscle groups they were using.

2. I reminded all students to think of answers to my questions, directly stimulating


thinking and I was recorded giving positive encouragement when a student
answered a question right.

EVIDENCE: (two)
1. 3rd Teaching Reflection (12/2/14)- Reflecting on transition and classroom
management stated the rules at the beginning of each new game. Students were
familiar with the rules so I listed them quickly without losing instruction time. I
consistently stated how much time was left in each game to prepare students for
a transition.
2. Instructional Observation Instrument (12/2/14)- I was observed managing time
effectively with good transitions/flow by timing the games well and reminding
students of 1 minutes left in a game. I effectively distributed equipment by
having the floor hockey sticks already in the net. I also maximized use of space
and equipment to provide OTRs by playing 6v6, and rotating substitues.

DISCUSSION: (justify how each piece of evidence supported the standard)


1. Stating the rules is a routine the students are familiar with. Also players got used
the procedure of playing when they got reminded of how much time was left in
the game

2. I directly managed the classroom well, without losing instructional time. The
equipment was prepared and I had smooth transitions allowing me to give
instructions at the beginning of game play.

1. PHED High School Module Worksheet- Chapter 1 (10/26/14)- First answer claims

1. This worksheet provided me with the increased knowledge of how to motivate
students.

2. This observation proved that I demonstrated encouragement and motivation to


all students.

EVIDENCE: (two)
1. PHED High School Module Worksheet- Chapter 2 (11/4/14)- I learned that
Health professionals came to the conclusion that physical education reduces disease. It
strives to establish a learning environment that encourages students to be physically
active outside of the physical education setting. Also that
Physical activity allows the body to maintain a healthy state. It stimulates fat loss and is
easy to do in a variety of situations; rigid diets cause the body to be unstable, storing fat
instead of losing it. Physical activity promotes a positive emotional state and social
experiences. Males and females mature at different rates and this causes some
students to have the ability to perform certain skills better than other skills was
another important skill learned in this worksheet
2. PHED High School Module Worksheet- Chapter 3 (11/8/14)- I researched and
gained information that As a chronological age increases, the brain develops and
students learn how to analyze different activities, develop personal exercise routines,
and assess their own activity levels. I learned that Motor performance and motor
functions improve quicker during the time period when students are in high school, this
occurs because bone growth is complete for most students. Importantly, I learned that
Peer interactions are of major importance for high school students, which teaches
them behavioral standards when expressing wardrobe, hygiene, and personal interests.
Social awareness allows students to express how they feel and their ideas, as well as
improve the opportunity for students to enjoy social and personal fitness.

1. The information complied in this worksheet proves the development of research
and findings that can be applied in classroom practice. Because of the knowledge
gained in this worksheet, I planned lessons accordingly.
2. This information relates directly to academic knowledge that can be applied in
classroom practices, meeting professional responsibilities.
