FRANK STRONACH

He is the founder of Magna


International, an international
automotive parts company
based in Aurora, Ontario,
Canada, Granite Real Estate,
and Stronach Group Stronach,
which specializes in horseracing. With an estimated net
worth of $CAD 3.12 billion (as of
November 2013), Stronach was
ranked by Canadiab
Buisness as the 19th wealthiest
Canadian.

In 2011, he entered Austrian


politics: founding the Stronach
Institute to campaign for classical
liberalism and against the Euro. In
2012, he founded the political
party Team Stronach for Austria.
In 1956, Stronach started his first
business, Multimatic Investments
Ltd., in the old manufacturing
district of Toronto. In 1969, his
firm acquired its first automotive
parts contract and merged with
Magna Electronics. In 1973, the
name was converted from
Multimatic Investments Ltd to
Magna International Ltd.

BERTHA WILSON

(September 18, 1923 April


28, 2007) was a
Canadian jurist and the first
female Puisne Justice of the
Supreme Court of Canada.
She was the first woman
appointed to the Court of
Appeal for Ontario in 1975. In
1982, she became the first
woman appointed to
the Supreme Court of
Canada, by Pierre Trudeau.
Wilson retired from the court
in 1991 and was made a
Companion of the Order of
Canada and a Fellow of the
Royal Society of Canada that
same year.

From 1991 to 1996, she was a


Commissioner of the Royal
Commission on Aboriginal
Peoples. Bertha Wilson gave
a controversial and muchdiscussed speech about the
role and influence of women in
legal professions and the
judiciary titled Will Women
Judges Really Make a
Difference?
