Catch Me if You Can

The movie catch me if you can is about an FBI agent hunts down a young con
artist who successfully impersonated an airline pilot, doctor, and assistant attorney
general, a million dollar in fraudulent checks in different countries.
In this movie the main actor Frank Abagnale Jr. (Leonardo Di Carpio) work
independently in making fraud check, we as internal auditor must work independently.
Here in order for Frank to withdraw money using his fraud check from banks he goes to
a lady teller and making some distraction to the teller and because Frank is good
looking guy the lady teller got distracted and not able to look carefully to the check, as
internal auditor we should do our work objectively.
Frank impersonated an airline pilot, doctor and assistant attorney general. Here
Frank able to impersonate those people but he doesnt have the knowledge of those
people. One example of this is when in impersonating the doctor and there is someone
that he needed to treat but able to do that. As internal auditor we must possess the
knowledge, skills and other competencies needed to perform their individual
responsibilities. The internal audit activity collectively must possess or obtain the
knowledge, skills and other competencies needed to perform its responsibilities.
This movie teach us internal auditor to be skeptic. Let us not trust all the things
we see and we should look for evidence. Also for me even though we are doing our
work and we being skeptic concern for other is need to be still there, it doesnt mean
that we should not trust other, it only tell us to be doubtful in things that they let us see.
This is a great movie it tells me that there are many people doing fraud that we
may not know that why we should do our best to in detecting them as internal auditor.
We as internal auditor we should be independence, work objectively, we must possess
the knowledge, skills and other competencies to do our responsibility and we should be
skeptic.
