moniqueramirez@email.arizona.edu (123) 456-7891 To whom it may concern: I started my career on the cardiac step-down unit working with cardiothoracic surgery patients. I enjoyed providing education, answering questions, giving appropriate medical advice according to physician recommendations, discharge teaching, and acting a resource to any patient needs. My work as the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) coordinator has allowed me to continue focusing on cardiac patients and has expanded my knowledge of transitions of care. My nursing background has enabled me to develop a further understanding of outpatient care and community care thus showing me the true meaning and value of care coordination. The Structural Heart Program Coordinator allows me to continue focusing on the coordination of cardiac patients through other structural heart programs currently in place and helping develop up and coming programs. I have acquired many skills during my time as the TAVR coordinator. I have learned to work with the changing dynamics of the healthcare system and the integration of new health technology for the treatment of patients with new non-invasive procedures. The value of networking with other healthcare professionals has undoubtedly furthered my knowledge and allowed me to share experiences with other healthcare professionals looking for ways to deliver quality patient care. Communication is vital to role of a coordinator. Through my time as the TAVR coordinator I have learned various communication strategies to reach common goals. Being a resource to colleagues and coworkers has helped me build rapport with various departments within the hospital making resources and services more available. My Spanish speaking skills have also helped me build rapport with the Spanish speaking community seen in Tucson allowing me to reach out to community members. Utilizing my education, knowledge, experience, and skills as the Structural Heart Program Coordinator will ensure I am practicing to my maximum capacity. This organization has helped me grow as a person and as has allowed me expand my wings as a new nurse in my career. I plan on keeping my knowledge and skills within the organization that has nurtured me from the beginning. I have contacted your office for dates and times for further information and training required for the Structural Heart Program Coordinator position. It would be an honor to join your team and be part of the innovative technology your program has to offer. Thank you,
