School in Germany

The school system of every state of federal Germany is a little bit different.
All children, with age 6, go to Grundschule, which last 4 years as per rules.
After that the performance of the children decide, whether they go to Hauptschule, Realschule
or to Gymnasium.
After class 5 one can perhaps change the school.
An alternative to this there type of school system is comprehensive school.
In some federal states of Germany the Haupt- und Realschulenare put together and called regional
or district school.
Some students of Hauptschule leave the school after class 9 and search for a training vacancy.
Some go further to school and get the school leaving certificate of Realschule. The student of
Realschule go to school altogether 10 years.
After that they have many possibilities. They do a training and learn a profession in a company and
in the Rerufsschule school 3 years long.
Many students of Realschule go also further to University/ technical University and complete the
Fachabitur or they go to gymnasium.
There school time is the longest. At the end of 12 class the student of gymnasium complete the
Abitur.
With it they apply for a place of study at the university or also for a place of training.
