RECRUITMENT OF MERITORIOUS SPORTSMEN FOR THE POST OF LOWER DIVISION CLERK (LDC) Applications are invited from Indian citizens for filing up of two (02) vacancies of LDC, a Group ’C’, Non- Gazetted, Ministerial Post, in the pay scale of %. 5200 - 20200 + Grade Pay %. 1900, amongst meritorious sports personnel with proven records of sportsmanship. 2 3, ‘Age, educational and other qualifications and Job requirement for the post are as under:- Not below 18 years or above 27 years as on 21st day from the date of publication of advertisement in Employment News. Relaxation of age up to maximum of 05 years will be applicable to a sportsman. In addition, 05 yrs inthe case of those belonging to SC, ST and 03 yrs for OBC cases wil also be applicable, if the sportsperson being considered belong to these categories. (UR-Unreserved, SC - Schedule Caste, ST- Schedule Tribe, OBC- Other Backward Class) Education and other qualification: Essential : (i) 12 (10+2 pass) class or equivalent quaiffication from a recognized Board or University (i) Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 Words per minute in Hindi on manual typewriter or typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer. It is not mandatory for the sportsperson to qualify in the typing test before appointment as LDC. However, after appointment he/she ‘should qualify in the typing test conducted by the department within the prescribed period, failing which will result in adverse consequences as per the norms in vogue. (ii) Proficiency in one of the games viz. Volleyball / Football / Kabaddi / Table Tennis / Cricket!'Shooting/ Carom Desirable: Basic Knowiedge in computers Job requirement : Responsible for the maintenance of files, records, typing of letters and do the job of administrative nature and other duties attached to Admin! Finance Group / Section. Any other duty assigned by the organization Eligible candidates can apply in the prescribed format attached as Appendix A’ and Admit Card as Appendix 'B, neatly typed (on A4 size paper only) and duly supported with altested copies of testimonials for educational qualification, experience, age, community certificate, sports proficiency certificate etc., issued by competent authorities. The application should bear two recent passport size photographs and out of which one duly attested by a Gazetted Officer wil be pasted on Appendix ‘A’ and the other without attestation will be pasted on Appendix ‘8’ The application is liable to be rejected if i is not in conformity with given format / incomplete | ilegible / unsigned or without required certificates. 4 Performance in Sports : Sports persons who full the eligibility conditions will be considered in the following order of preference:- . 7 (i) First preference to those candidates who have represented the country in an International’ Competifon with the clearance of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports i (i) Next preference may be given to those who have represented a State/ Union Territory in the Senior or Junior level national championships organized by the National Sports Federations recognised by Deptt of —2-~2- Youth Affairs and Sports or National Games organised by the Indian Olympics Association and have won medals or positions up to 3rd place. Between the candidates participating in Senior and Junior National Championship! Games, the candidates having participated and won medal in Senior National Championship should be given preference. (ii) Next preference may be given to those, who have represented a University in an Inter university competition conducted by Association of Indian Universities/ Inter university sports board and have won medals or positions up to 3rd place in finals. (iv) Next preference may be given to those who have represented the Stale schools in the National Sports! games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation and have won medals or positions up to 3rd place. (\) Next preference may be given to those, who have been awarded National Award in physical efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive. (vi) Next preference may be given to those who represented a State/ Union Terttory / University / State school Teams at the level mentioned in categories (i) to (v) but could not win a medal or position in the same order of preference 5. General (2) Besides furnishing attached copies of certificates in support of age, educational qualification and caste, the applicants are also required to furnish any one of the following testimonials/ certificates in support of hisiher proficiency in the sports discipline ie, certificates to the effect that he/ she has represented in the state/ UT or the country in National International tournament or has participated in Inter University Meet or in Al India School Games organized by All India School Games Federations. Specimen Form (Form / Form 2/ Form 3/ Form 4) in which the above certficates are to be furnished is given in Annexure to the Appendix ‘A’. Submission of Form 1/ Form 2/ Form 3/ Form 4 duly signed by the authorized signatory as mentioned in the Form is Mandatory. (b) The selection process will involve Field Trials to ascertain the playing capability ofthe applicants followed by the interview of the short listed Candidates : 6. Candidates applying against the OBC category should note that the caste should be listed under the Central List of OBC category and Non-creamy layer. 7. _ Candidates who are already in "Govt service/PSU/Autonornous Body’ must apply through proper channel.
