Dear Sir/Madam,
St. Xaviers College (Autonomous), Mumbai is a premier institute of learning, renowned for its excellence
in academics and extra-curricular activities. The Department of Physics is one of the oldest departments and is
publishing its 2014-2015 edition of the annual department magazine, Celeritas, which means Swiftness or
Speed.
The magazine is run by a student committee and the purpose of the magazine is to spread knowledge of
the field, make people aware of current affairs, as well as popularization of the subject. It has articles on the
recent discoveries in the field of science, biographies of prominent scientists and much more written by the
students. Professionals working in the field also write articles for the magazine, with noteworthy scientists from
the Tata Institute of Fundamental Science, Indian Institute of Science and CERN being recent contributors.
The magazine is circulated within several colleges and schools. Our primary audience is students. We are looking
towards widening this to create a social media presence, as well as to a wider range of organizations.
In our endeavor to produce a high quality magazine, your support would be greatly valued in the form of
sponsorship. This could be in the form of cost reductions at various stages of the process, direct sponsorship or
advertisements. We would also be happy to feature articles from your company, should you desire one as part of
your direct monetary sponsorship.
