Another myth Hercules is mentioned in is the story of his birth.

It
starts when Zeus falls in love with a woman named Alcmene.
Soon, they have a child named Hercules. Hera, Zeus wife was
angry because of this. She wanted to kill Hercules because she
was jealous of him. One night, Hera put snakes in Hercules crib.
Hercules killed the snakes with his strong arms. After the
incident, Zeus sent Hercules down to earth so he can be safe
from Hera. Hera still hated him and plotted many ways to kill him
while he was on earth.

Hercules lived on Earth as a mortal. His

father Zeus lived on Mount Olympus.

Hercules
livedin peace on Earth. He was
the strongest of all mortals and no one
wanted anything to do with him. His cousin
and his mother made him do 12 Labors or
tasks while he was on earth. When he
completed them he was granted
immortality. He was sent to Earth at a very
young age by his father so Hercules could
be safe from harm and death.

The most important myth Hercules was

mentioned in is called the 12 Labors. This
myth was often mentioned in this book
already. In this myth, Hercules went down
to earth and lived with a mortal family. His
cousin and his immortal mother made him
do 12 quests or labors. These labors were
The Lion, The Hydra, The Hind, The Boar,
The Stables, The Birds, The Bull, The
Horses, The Belt, The Cattle, The Apples,
and Cerberus. These challenges led
Hercules to fame and immortality. His
mother and his cousin set these tasks up to
kill Hercules because they both hated him.

A club, which
he used as a weapon.
He wore a lion skin. It is one of his symbols.
Another one is the poisoned arrow of the
Hydra.
Hercules otHer symbol is a twin pillar.
Hercules last symbol is strength.

During the course of this project I learned how interesting Greek mythology is. I had a wonderful
time typing and researching my project. It was great to learn about Hercules story. I also learned a little
about Hercules family such as Zeus and Hera. I learned about Heras plot to kill Hercules. When Zeus
heard about this, he sent Hercules down to earth.
I learned about Hercules symbols and traits. I also researched the 12 Labors. They were the tasks
Hercules had to do to become a god. I found these very interesting. I look forward to learn more about the 12
Labors. I also learned about Zeus, Hercules father.
This project helped me type faster. I learned how to research about things. I found a cool font website
while making this project. It helped me figure out about Greek mythology. I truly enjoyed creating this
project. I look forward to learn more about Greek gods and goddesses.

Hercules was courageous and brave. He was brave and

courageous. He was almost fearless and was stronger than
almost anything. His biggest weakness was his angry. Hercules
had many friends on earth. He had a moody personality. He
had an unpredictable personality. His courage led him to be an
immortal god. Hercules was a skillful hunter and an excellent
warrior. Hercules was not an intelligent man though, even
though he was smarter than some gods.

Hercules father was Zeus, the god of the sky. His mother was
Hera, the Queen of the Olympians. Hercules had no brother or
sisters. He had half-brothers and sisters instead. Lord Kronos
was Hercules grandfather. Kronos was known as the Father of
the Olympians. Hercules wives were Megara, a goddess,
Deiamira, who was also a goddess, and Hebe, the goddess of
youth. Hercules had many children. He killed all of them in
rage when his mother, Hera mad him angry. He also killed his
wife Megara in anger. Hercules cousin was named King
Eurystheus. King Eurystheus thought Hercules wanted to steal
his crown, so him and Hera set up 12 Labors for him to
become immortal. Hercules was sent to Earth to live with a
mortal family. His mortal parents are unknown.

He was married to three people. They were Megara,

Deianira, and Hebe.
His parents were Zeus and Hera. His mother Hera
tried to kill him because she was jealous of him. So
Zeus sent him on Earth to be a mortal.
Hercules is the god of strength. Even though he
was a demigod. This was because he was strong as
a mortal. Other gods feared him because he was a
great warrior.
He was once a mortal and was extremely strong.
He was stronger than any mortal. He was even
stronger than most gods.
His symbols are a wooden club and lions skin.
They are his symbols because he uses a club as a
weapon and wears a lions skin.
He had to complete twelve tasks as a mortal to
become a god forever. These tasks were called

the Twelve Labors. They were assigned to him by

his cousin and his mother. They set them up to kill
him.

A god is a superhuman being or

worshipped as having power over
nature. Greeks believed that their gods
came from Mount Olympus. Greeks
believed in mythical creatures,
demigods, gods, and goddesses. These
gods and demigods ruled over nature. A
demigod is a god that is partially human
and god. The Greeks felt if they did not
worship their gods, they would be
severely punished. Greeks made temples
to give their gods a home. The most
important god was Zeus.
