The main purpose of designing this project is to gain the basic knowledge of Mergers and
Acquisitions. We will also get to know what are the basic economic forces that lead to merger
and acquisition, how could merger and acquisition decisions be evaluated , the different forms
involved in mergers and also the motives and benefits of mergers and acquisitions.
This project of the popular merger between Kotak Mahindra Bank and ING Vysya Bank will
propose an outline of how merger and acquisition helps in Accelerated Growth, Enhance
Profitability, Diversify Risk, Increase Market Power and also in Reducing Tax Liability.
We will also get a brief knowledge of Value creation through mergers and acquisitions and the
different approaches involved in value creation.
