    Iagreethateducationisextremelyimportant.Ibelievethattoreachourgoalsforthe
    future,wehavetoproperlyeducatethegenerationtocome.Butrightnow,schoolsare
    gettinglessgovernmentfundingeventhoughtheyarestrugglingtohireenoughteachers.
    Whileschoolswithlargedonationsfromparentsaregettingenoughfundingthattheycan
    buyiPadsforalltheirstudents.Whatbothersmethemostisthatthesolutionissosimple,
    buttheeffectsareamazing.AsItoldyoubefore,IliveinPaloAlto,wheretheschoolsystem
    isahugemess.TherearetwopartsofthecityofPaloAlto,withtwoseparateschool
    systemsupuntilHighSchool.Thesidewiththewealthierfamiliesgetsmostofthe
    governmentfunding,whichcoupledwiththenumerousgrantsanddonations,meansthat
    theschoolcanaffordrenovationsandevenmorefundraisers.Ithinkthatitis
    preposterous,thekidswhosefamiliescanaffordcollegearetheonesqualifyingfor
    scholarships.Italsocreatesaterriblecyclewheretheimpoverishedchildrenaregettinga
    worseeducation,sotheyendupwithajobthatpaysless,andtheirchildrenareinthe
    samesituation.Iknowthatfixingtheproblemwontbeeasy,buttheoutcomealonewillbe
    worthit.
