Daily Lesson Plan Template (Bang): (Original/Modified)

Date/Day: April 17, 2014: Day 18


Unit Objective: Students will: explore OAC, critically collect research, and construct
meaningful texts
Co-Teaching Objective: Use Genre Text Generation Time to assess the work that student are
creating and exploring: collaborate with SST to ensure that there is overlap of content.
Daily Learning Target(s):

Students will use class time to construct their MGT


Students will recognize how their repetend influences the message or theme of their
MGTs
Students will synthesize research and create critical texts of particular genres

Standards (CCSS):
3. Writing and Composition:

W.3.1.a: Student can integrate stylistic language to construct real or fictional narratives.
W.3.2.a.iii: Student can use appropriate and rhetorical devices for different purposes and
audiences.

4. Research and Reasoning:

RR.4.1.a. Student can generate inquisitive questions to guide their research, while using
paraphrasing quotation, and other conventional writing skills to present their research.
RR.4.1.c. Student can use information as evidence to support an analysis, reflection, and
research.
RR.4.3: Student realize quality reasoning relies on evidence from media and appeals to
the audience.

Time Break Down: 1:55 2:35: Must Modify for Pep Rally (30 Mins: 2:05 2:35)

1:55 2:00: Determine which students do not have their first MGT complete. Reference
the narrative and mention the Mini Grammar Lesson from Day 17 (Thursday April 16).
2:00 2:05: Emphasize the planning process and maintain student dedication on the
MGP.

Materials:

MGT: I will have the following MGT from LOF to look at: the classroom, the conch, the
glasses, the masks, the narrative
ACS: Students will have access to art supplies such as: markers, colored pencils,
construction paper, scissors, and any art supplies the art department can spare for the
MGP
A&A: This class is dedicated to making sure that students are keeping up to date with
their RSL and the MGP. When conferencing with student about their progress inquiry
about the OAC and their REP.
