Growing the knowledge and collaboration to increase awareness and growth of the public services
on offer in Vorumaa.
The project principles is to prepare the civil society and local authorities to ensure a more collaborative and
detailed approach for all future projects within the areas.
The catchment group contains the members of the civil society groups within the county and local authority
specialists and the relevant members of the county board.
The framework of the project will create an outline map of the current public service offerings in the county.
As a result the project will have a complete overview of civil organistions and local authorities future needs,
taking account of the current capabilities and their competency to offer additional services. The results of
this analysis will be presented to the Vorumaa citizens conference in October 2011.
During the initial stages of the project seminars will be arranged with the various catchment groups within
the local authorities to start and/or improve the dialogue to enable greater efficiency and collaboration
between the groups thus increasing the knowledge for the delivery of public services.
In the final stages of the project additional trainig will be carried out across all the catchment groups to
increase their readiness for the delivery of the additional services. This will include an additional knowledge
of the business plan, legal aspects and financial planning.
As a part of the project a database will be compiled to collate the necessary information to enable a service
exchange across the county.
The result of the project will create an increased awareness of the services on offer within the county of
Vorumaa. It will help the development of the area by increasing the trust and co-operation between the civil
groups and local authorities.
