ADVANCED METERING AND DEMAND RESPONSE COMMUNICATION PERFORMANCE

IN ZIGBEE BASED HANS
AIM:
The main aim of this project is To note the power meter readings and demand
response performance using home area networks
COMPONENTS:
LPC 2148 development board (ARM7), PIR Sensor, LCD, LDR sensor, zigbee, power
meter, Opto-Coupler and Relay.
EXISTING METHOD:
Energy saving solutions has been becoming increasingly essential in recent years
because of environmental issues such as climate change and global warming.
Environmental problems are very important issue and these problems are largely caused
by the excessive use of energy. Since the existing systems are designed without considering
user satisfaction ,it is not appropriate to the places such as house and office where the user
satisfaction is more crucial factor than cost benefit due to energy saving.
PRPOSED METHOD:

Here in this project, power meter readings are loaded in 2 nodes in section 1.and in
next section 2 the values are recorded using Ethernet in node 1 we are using 2 sensors i.e.,
LDR sensor and PIR sensor.LDR sensor is used to detect the intensity of light and PIR
sensor is used to detect the person entering or identification. Power meter readings are
recorded and displayed onto LCD.
