Dear Er.

Mallick,
The procedure I proposed is: (V ide sketch)
1. Using Auger drill holes to insert the H beam in which wooden plank of 1thick.
2. The planks shall be inserted while excavation is in progress as done in the case of well sinking.
3. The purpose of drilling hole for H beam is not to disturb the foundation of the adjacent building
by vibrations.
4. The thickness of plank can be calculated using a UDl(wh/2) over a width of 12 using
d=6M/300f where f is the bending stress allowed for wood in the code.
This can be judged using our engineering knowledge that the soil is 1.5 m depth and soft rock is
3 m depth. The soft rock will not put pressure as soil on wooden plank 1 thick is just enough.
5. If the number of footing adjacent to the building is say 10 then do not start 10 at a time.
Proceed with no.1, no.5and no.10 so that there will not be too much disturbance to the existing
foundation of the neighboring building which is at 5 distance.
