I am Alman-Najar Namla, President of the Muslim Students Association here in your sister school, the
Ateneo de Zamboanga University. I have heard that the Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) has a
substantial number in terms of Muslim Population. In relation to that, we would like to ask how the
Muslim students are doing in your dear institution. Are they getting the same Islamic Education like we
are getting here in the Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU)? Do they have their own association,
like a Muslim Students Association (MSA)? Do they have a Prayer Room, an area where in they can
establish Salah (Prayer) Five times a day during school days?
I am hoping and praying that the Muslim Students in your institution are getting the same amenities we
are having here in the western part of Mindanao. And if not, hopefully like ADZU, your institution would
cater the needs of Muslim Students, promoting a common goal of Inter-religious Dialogue.
Attached herewith are guidelines regarding the needs of Muslim students, specially their need for a
prayer room.
