Indigo

Graphic Logo

-Rectangle
-Simple Outline
(typography)
-Simple and can be
discernible in small
sizes

-Great contrast
between foreground
and background, the
brand name is
definitely made
sharper and more
recognizable

-The white and blue are

in harmony; theyre not
too striking or vibrant,
but bright enough to
catch eyes
-The color blue, or
indigo, would be
representing the brand
for its name

Amazon

Font-based
logo

-No particular shape,

but most of the time
represented as a
rectangle
-Simple Outline
(typography)
-Simple and can be
discernible in small
sizes

-Great contrast
between background
and foreground, using
opposite colors
-Brand name could
easily be recognized

iBooks

Graphic Logo

-Square
-Simple outline
(typography and
image)
-A bit abstract, might
not be able to be
discernible in small
sizes

-Mild contrast
between foreground
and background, the
pages of the book
would be hard to see
from a distance (the
white would show up
better, though)
-The iBooks is easier
seen

Black Bond Books

Illustrative
Logo
Font-based
Logo

-No particular shape,

could be identified as
the outline of a bear
-Outline is a bit more
complex than the
others, as it consists
of more elements
-Abstract, would
probably not be able
to be discernible in
small sizes (the text is
rather plenty)

-Great contrast
between foreground
and background
-The outline of the
bear would be more
recognizable than the
text

-In my honest opinion,

Id say the yellow is a
little out of place (color
wise), but it does stand
out
-The colors
conspicuously represent
anything, but the logo
does have a secret
meaning (A to Z)
-The colors match with
great harmony in this
logo, the warm colors
are easy on the eyes, yet
still remaining eyecatching
-The colors (and shapes)
represent a book, and
the texture and color in
the background
resembles wood
-The colors in this logo
are made mainly of
black and white, which
serves in contrast figure
to the red maple leaf
(making it noticeable
that the brand/store is
Canadian)
-The black outline of the
bear looks like it could
almost represent a polar
bear, and with the
maple leaf added in,
these are all to indicate
of authentic Canadian
origins

-Indigo is made
bigger in variation
to the smaller text
to be clear and
visible
-The font itself is a
simple and clear-cut
one without
excessive amounts
of embellishment
-The font, just like
Indigo is simple and
the size is big
enough to be easily
recognized what
brand it is

-The font is iconic

Apple brand font
-The font is a little
smaller than the
icon, which would
mean the icon
would be easier
remembered than
the product itself

-The sizes of this

logo varies in size,
and not fully to an
advantage
-Books is the largest
sized font in here,
and overshadows
Black Bond, which
is not very inducible
in making the brand
name memorable
-The font style is
classic

Graphic logo

logo

Graphic logo

-there is no specific
shape to this logo,
but the closest would
be that it could be
enclosed in a
rectangle
-the outline is simple
because the logo only
consist of two clear
and vivid things (the
American flag and the
text)
-abstract, because
the flag, if it is in a
small size probably
would not be easy to
see
-the shape of this
logo is rectangular
-the outline is simple,
and may be overly
simple as it is only
text, just like Indigos
logo
-it is simple and can
be discerned in small
sizes

-this doesnt have

quite the most
recognizable shape
-the outline is semisimple, but it features
irregular shapes and
there is no clear
enclosed shape to it
-this logo is abstract,
and wouldnt be able
to be discernible in
small sizes

-there is not a huge

contrast between the
text and the flag as
the text is white and
the some of the flag is
also white, therefore
the text does not
stand out as much
-there is a big contrast
between the
foreground and
background, though,
because the
background is white
and anything that is
put on top of it would
stand out
-there is definitely a
strong contrast
between the
foreground and
background, as the
blue color of the
background and white
really make each
other stand out
-the blue on the logo
is a relatively dark
one, almost like the
blue of Indigos logo,
and therefore making
the white of the text
pop out
-there is not a whole
lot of interaction
between the elements
in this logo, but there
is sharp contrast
between the colors
and the text and
definitely give the
shapes an edge
-the white clearly
illuminates and serves
a very big factor in
creating the contrast
in this logo

-the colors act in

harmony because the
logo consists of colors of
the American flag and
the colors are very
iconic
-like I have mentioned
before, the colors
represent the American
flag and represents the
companys patriotic
view and how it is solely
an American company

-the size of the font

is reasonable but
the color makes it a
bit hard to
recognize the brand
name
-the font of the text
is also okay but it
doesnt work to its
full advantage

-the colors act in

harmony, as they are
blue and white only.
Both are cold colors and
in about the same color
schemes, and they work
well together, creating a
comfortable and almost
sedative effect

-the size of the font

is important in this
one as it fills up the
entire logo and
forces the audience
to look at it, it is
eye-catching in that
way
-the font itself is
nothing special, and
really does not add
originality to the
logo nor does it
reveal anything
about the company
and its products
-the size of the font
is slightly bigger
than the shapes
above it and it
makes sure that the
audience will pay
attention to it more
and that the shapes
dont overwhelm
-the font of the text
itself is not very
amusing, and is yet
another epitome of
the bland fonts that
companies seem to
use much too often

-the colors are in

harmony, in my opinion,
they work well together
even though the red
jumps from the blue a
little bit
-I dont think the colors
represent anything in
particular, or it requires
further research
