IStructE Part 3 Exam Preparation

Course outline
Introduction
The Institution of Structural Engineers Chartered Membership Examination is known for being a stern test for
the structural engineer. There is no reason why a well prepared candidate should not pass the examination at
the first attempt. This course will explain to the delegate what it is expected by the examiners and how to
avoid automatic failures.

Aims & Objectives


On completion of this course delegates will know what it is expected of a candidate for the Institution of
Structural Engineers Chartered Membership Examination and they will be able to prepare themselves ready
to sit the exam.
After this course delegates will:

Understand the examination process


Understand how the examination will be assessed
Know where to find design information
Know how to complete the question in the time available
Be able to develop a strategy for their own exam preparation
Know the dos and donts of the examination

Pre-course Requirements
Candidates should bring a calculator, pencil, ruler and eraser.
