Implementation
Step 1
Reuse
of Fabrics
Unwanted scraps of
fabrics were reused
to make household
decorative items.
Other materials
such
as
buttons,
braids, trims and
threads were also re
used.
Implementation
Step1
Main Objectives:
1. To sensitise students
on the importance of
preserving the
environment.
2. To increase students
awareness on the
reuse of unwanted
scraps of fabrics so
as to reduce wastes.
Implementation
Step 2
Spreading the word:
Implementation
Step2
A carnival in which
QC members and
DRSC students
participated was
organized and the
dynamic group left
school for
Calebasses Primary
School.
Implementation
Step2
This
was to sensitize
everyone, even small
children on how to
preserve this little heaven
of ours.
Residence of Calebasses
were offered plants which
they happily accepted.
We made elders
conscious about our planet
and how they should give a
helping hand to reduce
pollution especially through
recycling.
Implementation
Step 3
Papier Mache
Papers,
newspapers
and
bottles were used
to make beautiful
flower pots and
other
decorative
objects.
Implementation
Step 4
Compost
Composting was
done using weeds
being thrown
around in the
environment
Plastics cans were
recycled to act as
our composters
Implementation
Step 4
To eliminate
weeds , we decided
not to use
pesticides but
instead to carry
out composting
with them.
The least weed,
and directly it goes
in our Composter.
