Current article dated December 22, 2014 published by The Federal Trade
Commission searched for using the keywords Security in Mobile Technology using
google. The title of this article is FTC Warns Childrens App Maker BabyBus about
Potential COPPA Violations. This article is about an App developer based in China
that has is in violation of codes with apps geared towards children. They collect

information from children under 13 without consent of and notifying parents and
also does not post privacy policies.

Found through google, an article released by NIST titled, Security for wireless and

and lack of search results.

4. TRAPP
T- Time The article was written in 2013. Though it has not been updated there is a
link that directs you to the NIST website which provides a list of other related
articles that are more current.
R- Relevance The article is relevant to the topic of mobile security as it talks about
how mobile devices are also at risk the same way that other computers are.
A- Authority The authors work for the NIST, which is run by the government.
A- Accurate NIST is a national organization - National institute of Standards and
technology. This makes the source very reliable.
P- Purpose- the purpose of the article is to inform consumers and make them aware.

Comparing the internet articles and the scholarly articles I found the scholarly ones
through the ccbc library database to be easier to access as they were filtered more,
they were more relevant to the topic and they were more reliable. The articles found
through the internet were also good articles but I had to sort through the search
results more to find one the most relevant to the topic I was searching. They were
also more thorough in citing their sources and authors making them more reliable.
