This week we are learning:

Opposites

Circle Time Review


In circle time next week I would like
to start doing command and
response exercises with MEP. Get
them to get in groups of various
numbers and have them stand hand
to hand, head to head etc.
I would also like to continue with bear
hunt and the twist song as well tofu
tafa

Activity Time
Next week we will continue with opposites I have been showing them the
opposites song and they have started to respond to it very well. Some of
them have picked it up very quickly and have already started to sing along
to the song.
I would like to incorporate the Flashcards more and play games like the
fly swat game and also hide the flash cards around the room have a pair
look for it and then when they find it they will have to pair it with the
correct opposite.
Opposites that we will cover
Happy and sad, Up and down, Big and small, Boy and girl, Hot and cold,
Opened and closed, in and out, night and day, tall and short, stop and go,
fat and thin, clean and dirty

Phonics
Review
This week we will review the
blending word families:
- At(cat, bat, mat, fat, hat)
- En(pen, ten, men, den)
- An(pan, can, fan, ran)
We will spend a lot of time working
through the sounds and blending
then together two at a time.

New (letters/sounds/vocabulary)
This week we will continue to focus on blending as our main topic. We will be looking at a new
word family, the ot(cot, pot, hot, dot) word family, this week. We will be looking at the meaning of
the words as well as using them in our usual word games on the white board.

Writing Practice
This week we will practice some
of the letters the students have
been struggling with together on
the board and then individually
