COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course will explore and develop skills in computer applications. Students are guided in
using web tools through instructional videos, tutorials, and online project-based activities as
they complete Missions and Quests. Students produce a portfolio of work demonstrating their
technology proficiency which meets the 8th grade technology proficiency requirements in
Michigan. Students will use the website www.21things4students.net to complete the 21Things
(Topics). (Listed below)

QUEST(Assignments) COMPLETION
Follow the directions on the website to complete the Quests (assignments) for each Thing
(topic). If asked to save completed tasks you will save to your Network Area (username) and
save the document as follows:
LASTNAME-ThingTitle-Quest#
(Example) Freeland-BasicOrientation-Q1
At the completion of each Quest make sure you check it off in your 21t4s Tracking
Document. At the completion of the last Quest for that Topic make sure you show your teacher
before you advance to the next Thing (topic). The teacher will review the completed Quests for
each Thing (topic) and use the rubric below to assign a grade for that Thing (topic).
