Children with Disability Australia (CDA) is the

national peak body that represents children and
young people with disability aged 025 years.
CDAs vision is that children and young people
with disability living in Australia are afforded
every opportunity to thrive, achieve their potential
and that their rights and interests as individuals,
members of a family and their community are met.
CDA wants to better understand the experience of
young people with disability when leaving school
for post school life. This is often referred to as
post school transition and it describes the period
of time when a young person is preparing for
what they are going to do after secondary school.
Preparation and planning for post school life
generally begins around age 15. Preparation can
include career counselling and pathway planning.
If youre aged between 1825 or a family member
or caregiver, and you would like to share your
post school transition experience and listen to
others experiences, please come along to CDAs
group discussion. We would like you to share
your experiences about the information, support
and services available to you during secondary
school and since.

Please contact CDA by phone or email by Monday, 2 February 2015

if you would like further information or would like to attend.
