public and private life.

Technology could only be transmitted in

specific forms
i.e. TV sets, radio, facsimile

TECHNOLOGY IN THE 21ST CENTURY

People interacted with technology in

limited bursts.

When news or sports were over they turned it

off.

Hardware was expensive people would

gather in groups to experience it.

Now we can connect with others

constantly, instead of as an occasional
luxury.

This has blended our public and private

lives as they are now interconnected.

Modern technologies can constantly

receive information; they are designed
to always be on.
Older technologies (TV, Radio) still play
a role in our lives but not to the same
degree as before.

4 TRENDS THAT ARE CHANGING HOW WE

COMMUNICATE.

Social has reduced the barrier to entry

for relationships but it also may reflect

staggering 99% use their mobile
browser each day.

3. BIG DATA AND ANALYTICS:

What is big data? There are multiple

definitions
an all-encompassing term for any
collection of data sets so large and
complex that it becomes difficult to
process using on-hand data
management tools or traditional data
processing applications. This is
essentially how companies adds are
directed at you based on your previous

3. BIG DATA AND ANALYTICS:

Big Data allows companies to target

and manage consumer interactions.
Now that consumers are using
wearable technologies, we can now
create data in our offline lives with our
online experience.

i.e. Fitness bands

4. CLOUD:

The cloud enables users to access all of

their data anytime with any of their
devices without needing to actually
carry it all around.
This affects how traditional digital
media is purchased and sold.
