The idea of reflection that goes back to Descartes in his

correspondence mentions the case of the dog, who was beaten
numerous times soothing sound of a violin, eventually running away
scared when he heard the violin,

The study of the human psyche was regarded as the study of the brain
and its functions by Claude Bernard. The founder of experimental
medicine can not be maintained without organ function, and thus the
study of the functions and anatomy of the brain take us to the exact
knowledge of the psyche.

Sechenov, writing his book "Reflections of the brain" and Pavlov, with
his whole life dedicated to the study of reflexes, explored the ideas of
Claude Bernard and prepare a complete and structured teaching on the
psyche, based on experimental neurophysiology.

As the basis of the doctrine of Reflexology is the assertion that the

psyche is in a infinite range, varied and mobile, the conditioned reflexes
that form, go out and become, providing a firm and clear frame for
understanding the psyche, as a network of conditioned reflexes that
are prone to experimentation and development.

Reflexology is because knowledge of the psyche through the

neurophysiology of the experimental study and practical functioning of
the brain in its ongoing work to develop, build, rectify and change
conditioned reflexes in large numbers, through the long years of life
experience of each person.

Reflexology provides a well documented and better knowledge of the
normal human psyche, and psyche of this change, their psychopathology
and the understanding and treatment of mental illnesses.

Reflexology also gave a new impetus to hypnosis, highlighting and

explaining in greater detail, the effectiveness and scientific basis of
treatments and studies in this area.
