SCIENCE
Balance
and
Weighing
We will
continue the
unit on Balance and Weighing
this week. Students will learn
about balance and how to use
an equal arm balance to weigh
various items. We will read
about a famous man who
walked on a tight rope and another famous artist who created
a incredible design that is displayed in the Smithsonian Museum. Students will work with
partners as we complete activities using the equal arm balance
over the next several weeks.
Ask you child what they are
learning in science!

Students shopped at our Class Store for the first time last week.
They will continue to earn money each day in class. Thank you again, parents, for the very generous donation of items for our store. We will have
plenty to last for several weeks! We will continue using our counting skills
each day and keeping up with the amount in our banking books.
We have an Auburn University Lab student, Miss Jordan Drummond,
who will be joining our class starting last week. She is an Early Childhood
major that will be spending Tuesdays and Thursdays observing and helping in our classroom. We welcome Miss Drummond to AEEC!
Many Thanks, Mrs. Danley :)
