    The Child-Turcotte-Pugh (CTP) classification scores the severity of cirrhosis based on 5 criteria: encephalopathy, ascites, bilirubin, albumin, and prothrombin time (PT) or international normalized ratio (INR). Each criteria is scored 1 to 3 points, with 3 points indicating more severe dysfunction. The CTP score is obtained by adding the scores and used to determine CTP class A (well-compensated, 5-6 points), B (significant functional compromise, 7-9 points), or C (decompensated disease, 10-15 points).
