1. In one or two sentences, describe your learning goals (or what you hoped to learn in this
course).
What I hoped to learn in this course was more about marketing and what it all
involves. I learned a lot about advertising and what it takes to run a business. This
class taught me the inside details of a business and what it takes to succeed in the
business field.
2. Describe a realistic picture of your skill level in this topic area prior to completing the
learning activities of each chapter.
My skill level in the topic area prior to completing this class was sad and inefficient.
This class prepared me to a life in business. This class has helped me realize how
much work it takes to run a business.
3. What is your skill level now?
My current skill level would be around 7 out of 10. I am comfortable with the
information; I just dont know how to assess it yet. It is hard to make business plans
when you dont have the background information to go off of.
4. How does your current skill level compare to what you hoped to learn in this course?
My current skill level does compare with what I hoped to learn in this course. I have
learned that it takes a lot more than money, and an open building to start a business.
You have to have the right tools in order to be successful in life and in your business.
5. How you plan to use these skills in your daily life, future, etc. in light of what you have
learned in this course?
I think about what it takes to have a successful business, and the hard-working
people that had to get it there. Marketing enlightened to see how a business works
to become successful and it is not just given.
6. How will you continue to enhance your skills in the future?
I will enhance my skills by attending Mid-State Technical College for Business
Management. This will further my knowledge in the marketing field and help me start
my own business one day.
