Short Answer:

1. Discuss the progression of the Holocaust from euthanasia to mass genocide.

At first, euthanasia was used for ‘important’ incidents only. If someone had a fatal
disease, and they were in a lot of pain, they might use euthanasia to put them out
of their misery. But, during the Holocaust, Adolf Hitler found ‘reasons’ to use
euthanasia on people with nothing wrong with them. He would use it on the Jews
for being born Jewish. If someone wasn’t able to run, they would be killed. It
eventually turned into mass genocide.

2. Explain the United Stats’ response towards the Holocaust and decide if this
reasoning was valid.

The United Stats’ response to the Holocaust was inconsiderate and uncalled for.
To stand back and practically watch while other countries are living through Hell
goes against every moral there ever was. Yes, we helped to liberate the camps
towards the end, but there was so much we could have done in the middle of the
Holocaust that we didn’t.

3. Describe the origins and eventual purpose of concentration camps.

The concentration camps were originated from . Eventually, they were to be used
as slave labor camps. As time progressed, they turned into a way to obtain the
“final solution.” The “final solution” was to wipe out any ‘imperfections’ in the
world. All Jews would be assassinated, and only those with blond hair, blue eyes
would be living. It was at that point that camps were constructed for the mass
murder of anyone who didn’t fit into the “final solution.”
