Students will:
1. Understand the way bright colors and the color black interact when placed together, making
contrast.
2. Create a scratch art drawing using the material combination of crayon and black paint.
3. Create a unique drawing incorporating various details into the image

1. Tape cardstock edges to the drawing boards
2. Color in the entire sheet using crayons
3. Paint the black mixture over the sheet
3 parts black acrylic paint, one part dish soap
4.
Let dry, and then scratch picture into the piece

Peel off tape, and display
Work slowly and detailed through the instructions
Observe the images students are drawing and encourage
them to create lots of details
Remind students not to scratch off all the black layer
