Amritas poems handle diverse themes in an alluring manner. The poem The One Who
Came From the Coss(Kurishil Ninnum Vannavan)expounds the enormity of divine love
(gods love). The poet(ess) tries to connect this immensity of gods love with the (vast)
universe.
Avan
Kadalkshobhangalkk Shesham
Ente Theerangalilekku
Thirakalkku Meethe Nadannavan-Here the tempests in the sea might be the commotions
in the sea of ones mind. There the love of god which comes toward one with its
consoling hands can be seen as the truth of the universe. The poem is the realization of
heavenly love by a singularity which has nothing but the gold and myrrh of a fatuous life.
