PROJECT OBJECTIVES (BRIEF SUMMARY):
Students follow individual brief to create own theme and specific subject matter.
 RECORD observations, experiences, and ideas in forms appropriate to intentions.
 ANALYSE images, objects and artefacts to understand context.
 DEVELOP and explore ideas: using media, processes and resources reviewing, modifying and
refining work as it progresses.
 PRESENT a personal response and realising intentions and making informed connections with the
work of others
EXPECTATIONS:
At the end of this unit of work, most students will have developed:
 skills relevant to the assessment criteria of GCSE Art and Design – Fine Art
STRUCTURAL OUTLINE OF PROJECT
Week 1 Homework
Lesson 1- Intro- show exam papers and discuss title as a class, then Write a statement of intent discussing the

Week 2 Homework
Most students will need to complete observational drawings. Produce a more in-depth critical analysis
of the chosen artist for this exam theme.
Artist analysis – exhibition/ gallery trip write up.
Evaluate and link to the theme of Work, Rest, Play. Make connections Emphasis on formal elements, such as
