Lesson Plan

Planned beginning:
Great the class and inform them with the title of the lesson. Provide the students
with the objectives. Remind the students (by showing them a video) when they
were kids and used to gather items according to colors for example.
Body:
Then the teacher asks the students about their shoe size and write the data in a
table. The teacher draws a line plot using word document. The teacher asks every
student to mark X above each number that is in the table on the line plot. If the
number is repeated, X over X will be displayed. After that is done, the teacher will
define for them the terms (vocabulary) that we will use them in this lesson. After
that, the teacher will explain how we calculate the range using the example of their
shoe size. Then, the teacher will represent for the students some examples for
every new concept.
We will solve 2 exercises from the book together. Then they will have independent
work (parts 3 & 4) while the teacher is monitoring them.
The teacher will ask the following questions:
a) To the student who solved the questions:
Why you solve it in this way?
b) To the other students:
Is this solution right or wrong?
Why do you think so?

The tool I used to make my unit plan is Planbook. This tool is user friendly. It
directly saves your work. It provides you with a tutorial tour to learn how to use it. I
watched many different videos on YouTube to learn more about this tool, how to use it,
what features it contains, and examples on using this tool. I liked I can directly insert a
video and I can attach any files that I want. You can print the plan as PDF. You may also
share with students and other teachers so they view your plan. It is offered as an
application on your phone. Other teachers and administration can provide you feedback
and comments.
